Scientists are hoping to gain new insights into the mysteries of ageing by sequencing the genome of a 17-year-old girl who has the body and behaviour of a tiny toddler.
Brooke Greenberg is old enough to drive a car and next year will be old enough to vote — but at 16lb in weight and just 30in tall, she is still the size of a one-year-old.....

An elderly Chinese woman has stunned her family and fellow villagers by growing from her forehead a horn than resembles a goat’s.
Grandmother Zhang Ruifang, 101, of Linlou village, Henan province, began developing the mysterious protrusion last year.
Since then it has grown 2.4in in length and another now appears to emerging on the other side of the mother of seven’s forehead......

London, Oct 5 (ANI): A 7-year-old blind boy has been given the nickname Batboy, for he has learnt how to “see” by using his ears.
Lucas Murray, who was born blind, is believed to be the first in Britain to use echoes to visualise his surroundings.
He clicks his tongue on the roof of his mouth, and discovers where objects are based on how the sound bounces back...... |

Seven-year-old Jessica Gaude differs greatly from her pals. With 222
kilograms, she is the fattest child in the world.
She eats 10,000 calories each day in Coca-Colas, 15
hamburgers with fries and several kilograms of chocolate.
What she eats in one day some children eat in half a year.
Her breakfast consists of white bread, potato chips and
two litres of coke. And she wants more.
When she last visited the doctor four years ago she had
110 kilograms. Unfortunately, she can no longer run and
instead of walking she drags herself on the floor. Under
such bodily weight her bones have already become
distorted.
Mother Carolyn gives her daughter whatever the child
wants. In the first week after she was born, when the baby
cried because of stomach pains, the mother calmed her by
feeding her with a bottle because she thought the child
was hungry. “I gave her the bottle and she wanted more and
more. It was not enough for her and she was constantly
hungry”, Jessica’s mother says.....
